"Tropical Love" Original Watercolor

This "Tropical love" is of a moment captured between a bird and a flower. The Brazilian or "red crested" Cardinal shown here is resting on the branch of a Plumeria tree, perched so that the little bird is seen looking directly into the face of a flower that's turned away from us. I wanted to paint the moment that we all experience hopefully every now and then, when we become completely absorbed by the beauty of nature. In these valuable seconds when we allow ourselves to take in all of the wonderful intricacies of nature, we get to feel our own connection to the natural world, and it's beautiful to think about how perhaps all living creatures have their own way of feeling this appreciation and connection to our shared world. I hope that everyone who looks deep into the details of this painting takes a moment to put themselves in this little bird's shoes and appreciate the next flower that we get to pass by.

Painted on 11"x14" Arches watercolor paper.

The painting is matted in a 16"x20" solid walnut frame with tempered 99.9% UV resistant glass.
